BIG TRAGEDY! The whole country is mourning the passing.

Legendary country music singer Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter has died at the age of 64 after a long illness.

Betty Sue was Loretta’s first child and Lynn Massey’s daughter. Betty Sue died in 2013.

Thursday, Loretta Lynn’s Instagram page posted the sad news of Lynn Massey’s untimely death.

“Betty Sue’s daughter Lynn Massey, Loretta’s first grandchild, passed away this week after a long and difficult health battle,” said the post.

“Our family is so grateful for the prayers and love continually shown to us.”

Lynn died two years after her country music legend grandmother, Loretta Lynn, did in 2022.

After hearing that she had died, many people sent their condolences, saying that she is now with her grandmother and mother.

One fan said, “We’re praying for your family. She’s now with her grandmother.”

Someone else yelled, “Loretta and Betty are holding her right now!”

There is still no more information available about Lynn’s exact health problems.

Over the years, Loretta’s family has had health problems.

Beth Sue, Lynn’s mother, died of complications from emphysema.

In 1984, Lynn’s uncle Jack drowned in Tennessee’s Duck River and died.

Recently, Ernest “Ernie” Ray, Loretta’s son, got through surgery for kidney failure earlier this year.

Fans were told that Ernie’s health is getting better in a video posted by his wife, Crystal Lynn, on August 10.

Ernie told his wife, “I’m good,” and smiled and joked while he was driving.

THE STORY OF LORETTA

Despite the deaths and health problems that have happened in the Lynn family, Loretta’s influence is still felt by her family.

In the 1990s, Loretta’s daughters Patsy and Peggy Lynn started a country band called The Lynns.

Emmy Russell, Patsy’s daughter, also got into music as a career choice.

Emmy wowed the crowd with her singing skills during season 22 of American Idol and told the judges that she was related to the late country star.

Emmy sang a song written by her grandmother called “Coal Mine’s Daughter” on the show.

Emmy’s popularity put the singer in the Top 5 of the show before she was sent home on May 12.

Emmy’s song “Redemption” came out on May 18, not long after she was eliminated.
