**Contestant Stuns Drew Carey With Near-Perfect Bid on “The Price Is Right”**
In an unforgettable episode of *The Price Is Right*, contestant **Patrice Masse** from **Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada**, left both host **Drew Carey** and the studio audience in absolute shock after delivering an *almost perfect bid* during the **Showcase Showdown** — one of the game’s most thrilling final moments.

### **The Bid That Made History**
As the lights dimmed and the tension rose, Patrice stood at center stage, focused and calm. His showcase featured an array of luxurious prizes: a brand-new car, a travel package, and high-end home furnishings. After carefully listening to Drew Carey outline each item, Patrice took a deep breath and submitted his final guess — a total so precise that it left everyone speechless.
When Drew revealed the actual retail price, Patrice’s bid was off by only **$1** — a near-impossible feat that very few contestants have ever achieved in the show’s long history.
The audience erupted into cheers, with Drew Carey exclaiming in disbelief,
> “That’s incredible! You were just ONE DOLLAR away from a perfect bid!”

### **A Moment of Pure Television Magic**
The *Showcase Showdown* has always been the emotional peak of *The Price Is Right* — where excitement, intuition, and a little luck all collide. But Patrice’s performance stood out not just for its precision, but for his calm demeanor and genuine joy when the results were announced.
Viewers watching at home took to social media to share their astonishment:
> “That Canadian guy just made *Price Is Right* history!” one fan posted on X (formerly Twitter).
> “I’ve watched this show for years — I’ve never seen anything like that!” another commented.
—
### **Why It’s So Rare**
The odds of guessing the showcase price within a dollar are extraordinarily slim. Contestants typically rely on quick mental math, intuition, and a bit of luck. According to longtime fans, hitting the exact amount or coming within a single dollar has only happened a handful of times in the show’s decades-long run.
Drew Carey himself has often said that such moments “feel like witnessing lightning strike twice.”

### **A Proud Moment for Canada**
Patrice’s stunning win also made headlines across Canada, with many calling it a “proud moment” for a Canadian contestant on one of America’s most iconic game shows. His poised reaction, humility, and excitement captured the hearts of fans worldwide.

For Patrice, it was more than a game; it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
For Drew Carey and the millions of viewers who witnessed it, it was one of those rare, golden television moments that will be replayed — and remembered — for years to come.
