Days after losing his 39-year-old son, “Pawn Stars” icon Rick Harrison has broken his silence

Many people around the world know Rick Harrison as the host of the hit show Pawn Stars. He has spoken out about the death of his 39-year-old son Adam.

Tragic news earlier this week confirmed that Adam Harrison had died from what was thought to be a drug overdose. Now, his dad has said that fentanyl was to blame.

“Yes, I can confirm that Adam died from an overdose of fentanyl,” Rick told Fox News Live. “This country needs to pay more attention to the fentanyl crisis.” It looks like nothing is being done to stop it from crossing the borders. We need to do better.

TMZ was the first to report Adam’s death, but we still don’t know much about the circumstances, like when and where the overdose happened. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department has started to look into it.

Lisa Herlovich, who works for the Harrison family, released a statement on behalf of Adam’s friends and family that said, “Our family is very saddened by Adam’s death.” Please give us space while we mourn his death.

Craig Harrison had two kids with his first wife Kim Harrison. Adam was their second child together. He is Corey Harrison’s younger brother. After that, Rick married Tracy, and the two of them have a son named Jake.

Adam didn’t appear on the popular show Pawn Stars, which stars Rick and Corey, but he is said to have worked at Gold & Silver Pawn, the family business, before the show started in 2009. He had not been working at the pawn shop, though, in recent months.

When Rick heard that Adam had died of an overdose, he went on Instagram to post a touching tribute to his son. Rick wrote, “You will always be in my heart!” next to a picture of himself and Adam smiling at a bar. Adam, I love you. đź’Ź”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report that from January 2020 to 2021, the number of overdose deaths involving synthetic opioids rose by 56.6%.

Fentanyl is a Schedule II drug according to the Drug Enforcement Administration. It is “like morphine but about 100 times more potent.” Two milligrams, which is less than a grain of salt, can kill a person, depending on their body size.

Alan Harrison, may you rest in peace! Rick and the rest of the family are in our thoughts and prayers.
