Donald Sutherland has died at the age of 88. During his six-decade Hollywood career, he was known for both his comedic and dramatic roles.

Celebrities saw Sutherland in movies like “The Dirty Dozen,” “MAS*H,” and most recently, “The Hunger Games” as President Snow. He died on Thursday.

The famous actor died in Miami, Florida, after a long illness that was not made clear, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sutherland had five children: Kiefer, an actor who won an Emmy, Roeg, a veteran executive at CAA Media Finance, actors Angus and Rossif, and a daughter named Rachel.

For Kiefer, 57, his father was “one of the most important actors” of all time, and he was sad about his death.

“It breaks my heart to tell you this, but my father, Donald Sutherland, has died,” Kiefer wrote on X, which used to be Twitter.

“I believe he is one of the most important actors in movie history.” Always brave, no matter how good, bad, or ugly the role is.

“He did what he loved because he loved it, and that’s all that matters.” “A life well lived.”

He was born on July 17, 1935, and became famous for his role in The Dirty Dozen, a 1957 war movie.

The actor, who was born in Canada, had a long career that included roles in many hit movies and TV shows.

With roles in more than 140 movies, Sutherland was one of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces.

Sutherland won both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her acting, and she was known for being able to play a romantic lead, a villain, an antihero, or a mentor.

He was able to change into different roles, which put him in roles with actors like Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, James Garner, Mark Wahlberg, Jason Statham, Jennifer Lawrence, and Gene Wilder.

Newsday asked Sutherland which of his movies he liked best. He said that working on Casanova with a “master” like Federico Fellini was unlike anything else.

“I had the best time of my life working for Fellini,” he said at the time.

“He is the best actor I’ve ever seen.” You give in to Fellini more than anyone else in the world.

Even though he was in movies that got good reviews, Sutherland was never nominated for an Academy Award.

In the same year, he married Shirley Douglas, another Canadian actress. They had twins, Kiefer and Rachel.

They were married for only four years before getting a divorce in 1970.

In 1972, Sutherland married actress Francine Racette for the third time.

Sutherland and Racette had three kids together. Their names were Roeg, Angus, and Rossif.
