The hosts of The View wasted no time firing back after Elon Musk took aim at their show, branding it “a meeting place for ignorant women.” 

Musk’s blunt remark, which spread like wildfire across social media, quickly ignited a storm of reactions—some rallying behind him, others calling out his comments as misogynistic and uncalled for.

During a particularly fiery segment, The View panelists took turns dismantling Musk’s criticism.

Whoopi Goldberg, never one to back down from controversy, called Musk’s attack “unnecessary and unprovoked” and dismissed it as an attempt to undermine a platform where women discuss real issues. 

“It’s always interesting when powerful men feel threatened by women simply having opinions,” she remarked. “We sit here and discuss things that matter to people. If he doesn’t like it, he doesn’t have to watch.”

Joy Behar, known for her quick wit, took a more sarcastic approach. “Oh, Elon, honey, shouldn’t you be focusing on fixing your crumbling businesses instead of coming after us?” she quipped, prompting laughter from the audience. “Maybe if he spent more time managing Twitter and less time scrolling through it, he’d have fewer problems.”

Meanwhile, Sunny Hostin took a more analytical stance, pointing out that The View has always been a forum for debate, bringing together perspectives from across the political spectrum. 

“It’s ironic that someone who claims to champion free speech would dismiss a show where women exercise exactly that,” she said. “We’ve had politicians, industry leaders, and even some of his biggest supporters sit right at this table. So if we’re so ‘ignorant,’ why do so many powerful figures want to come on the show?”

Musk’s comment didn’t just spark outrage among The View hosts; it also reignited long-standing debates about the show’s reputation and the broader issue of how women’s voices are treated in media. While some social media users applauded Musk for “saying what everyone is thinking,” others slammed him for dismissing an influential platform where women engage in political and cultural discourse.

“At the end of the day, we’re here, we’re talking, and we’re not going anywhere,” Goldberg said defiantly. “He can call us whatever he wants, but we’ll still be here tomorrow. And the next day. And the next.”
