‘MY HERO’ Legendary actress passed away today

People are saying nice things about the star of a popular kids’ show from the 1980s who died at the age of 98.

Her family confirmed that Gudrun Ure died at home in London. She was a Star in Super Gran Gran.

A lot of people liked the star as the grandmother who got superpowers from being hit by a magic ray.

Ure’s niece, who was very sad, confirmed her death today.

Kate McNeill, who was devastated, said this about her “really kind” aunt: “She had a voice that I will never forget.”

“I remember my husband was watching Casualty one night, and I went ‘that’s Gudrun’ as soon as I heard the voice.”

People all over the country loved Ure in Super Gran, which ran from 1985 to 1987.

She got the part on the kids’ show when she was 59 years old, but she had been acting on TV and in plays for a long time before that.

Ure has also been in the TV shows The Crow Road, Midsomer Murders, and Casualty.

Fans who were heartbroken shared their pain on X, which used to be called Twitter.

“So sad to hear that actress Gudrun Ure died today at the age of 98,” one person wrote.

“She was born in Milton in Campsie and had been acting on stage and screen for a long time.” As Super Gran, the lead character on the 1980s TV show, she was loved by many.

“Sad news: Supergran, aka Gudrun Ure, has died at the ripe old age of 98,” said someone else.

Another upset fan said, “Oh no! I adored Supergran. Thank you, Gudrun, for the memories.

Someone else said, “Supergran was a great show for kids, and the theme song was a real banger.” It’s sad news. May Gudrun Ure rest in peace.

“Ah no!” said one more. Last week, I told the kids about her. “Supergran, get some rest.”

The show Super Gran was based on a set of books by Forrest Wilson.

The show was about Granny Smith, who got superpowers when she was hit by a magic ray by accident.

Then she used her powers to protect the people of Chiselton from a group of bad guys, including the sneaky Scunner Campbell played by Scottish actor Iain Cuthbertson.

The hit was so popular that it was sold in about 60 other countries around the world.

The show won an International Emmy in 1985 for its work with kids and teens.

Ure was born on March 12, 1926, and she played Desdemona in Orson Welles’ plays about Othello.

She was also the lead in the 1954 movie Man with a Million and in the TV shows Armchair Theatre and Garry Halliday.

From the 1950s on, Ure also appeared in a number of other movies, TV shows, and radio shows.

One of these was playing Lady Macbeth in a series of educational films made by Encyclopaedia Britannica.

He died in 2008, after being married to Ure for more than 40 years.
