Proud dad angers people after posting photos of his 14-year-old at work

A person’s first employment is a significant life event that they will always remember. Whether you are babysitting or mowing lawns, it is a significant time in your life when you learn responsibility.

A father who was proud of his son shared photos of him at his first job. Chris Crawford, the boy’s father, wrote a piece in which he discussed how some adults could benefit from the young teen’s work ethic.

In the post, he announced that his kid had secured a part-time position at Burger King. He continues by praising his son’s great work ethic, pointing out that the teenager works every day of the week, even the weekends. Declaring that he was quite pleased of his son for earning an honest job, whilst other kids his age were merely “enjoying their summer.”

He discussed how his son decides to arrive at work early and stays late as well. He said how proud he was of his son’s accomplishments even at such a young age.

Crawford said that his kid cherished every second of his work. His father said that the teenager enjoys handling his own finances and being able to put money down for a new car.

Opinions on the subject have been split among internet users ever since the article. On the other hand, other people think that a young man should learn the value of money and how to save it at this age.

Others believe that a child should not be so focused on work at such a young age. To them, the child ought to be a child, unconcerned with his work! Some internet users believe that they should enjoy these formative years by being children.

In the US, 14 is the minimum age to work for jobs that are not in agriculture. The government also limits the number of hours that minors under the age of sixteen may labor. Additionally, it is against the law to hire minors under the age of 18 for dangerous jobs.

People expressed concern for the young child because his father claimed to work seven days a week! However, Crawford writes in his essay that his son’s happiness stems from his work. Additionally, in the photos he has posted of himself wearing his Burger King suit, his son is seen grinning.

No matter how old you grow, your first job always has an effect on you and sticks in your memory!
