Opening the door to a world of the unexpected and downright weird is just another day for hotel workers. They’ve stumbled upon some of the most shocking and disgusting things at their workplaces. Let’s take a look at these unbelievable stories shared by hotel workers on Reddit.

1. The Unused Toilet

One hotel worker came across a truly unpleasant surprise when cleaning a guest’s room. After the guests had checked out, there were rolled-up towels on the floor.

Although this was not uncommon, something was off. As the worker started picking up the towels, they discovered a pile of feces underneath them. The stench was overpowering. To their horror, they found at least ten more piles of feces mixed with urine in the shower, hidden behind the shower curtain. What a messy situation!

2. The Pizza Puzzle

In another bizarre incident, a hotel worker found an entire pizza in a guest’s room. But this was no ordinary pizza. It seemed like the guest had used the pizza in the most unusual ways. Slices of pizza were smeared all over the TV, as if they were trying to watch the cheesiest show ever.

But the mystery didn’t end there. The worker discovered more slices of pizza in unexpected places – the dresser, the nightstand, the sheets, and even the bathroom sink. The final piece of the puzzle was found smeared on the inside of a lampshade. Talk about a strange craving!

3. The Mouse

Sometimes, hotel workers encounter unwelcome guests of the furry kind. In this unforgettable story, a woman stayed at a guesthouse with her husband. She complained to the owners about strange noises and finding their belongings nibbled on.

To their shock, the woman dropped a live mouse on the front desk, demanding a refund for the entire week. The owners, suspecting foul play, inspected the couple’s room and found no evidence of a mouse infestation. They stood their ground and threatened to involve the police if the couple didn’t leave immediately. The couple threatened to sue, but fortunately, they never heard from them again.

4. Too Much Luggage

Hotel workers are used to guests bringing luggage, but sometimes it can be excessive. In one hotel, a couple checked in with an unusually large number of suitcases. Little did the hotel workers know, the couple had a different agenda. They were actually planning to steal everything from the room, even the windows! Needless to say, the hotel workers were shocked when they discovered the theft. Unfortunately, the workers ended up losing their jobs due to this unfortunate incident.

5. Where’s the Bathroom?

In an upscale hotel, a guest had an urgent need to use the bathroom. However, instead of finding the restroom on their own, they approached the bellstand for directions. Little did the hotel staff know that this simple request would lead to a messy situation. As the guest walked downstairs, they left a trail of feces behind them, with every few steps revealing more. It turned out that the person was unknowingly suffering from a medical condition. Not only did they make a mess on the floor, but they also left the bathroom in an unsanitary state. Despite the guest’s threat to write a bad review, the hotel management blacklisted them.

6. The Sleepwalker

Working at a small boutique hotel can bring unexpected encounters. One morning, a woman approached the front desk in distress. She couldn’t find her husband and was worried that he had sleepwalked into another guest’s room. The hotel staff, although amused by the situation, wanted to avoid any potential embarrassing confrontations. They checked the CCTV footage to track the husband’s whereabouts. To their relief, they found him sound asleep in another room. The wife woke him up, and the couple checked out, leaving behind a great story for the hotel staff to share.

7. The Silent Bachelor Party

Hotel workers often witness wild parties, but one particular bachelor party took an unexpected turn. A large group of guys checked into a hotel room for a pre-wedding celebration. Strangely, there was complete silence throughout the night. Hours later, the groom’s fiancée arrived, searching for her soon-to-be husband. She had his phone, which he had left behind. The hotel staff accompanied her to the room, only to find the groom and his friends fully clothed in the bathtub, engaged in a bizarre toy boat “naval battle.” This unexpected sight led to the cancellation of the wedding. Talk about a surprising end to a bachelor party!
