The most beloved actress wanted to make a comeback before her sudden death

ALL alumni of “My Children” Not long before she died suddenly, Esta TerBlanche gave hints that she wanted to return to soap operas.

She was 51 years old when she died.

TMZ said Esta’s family said she died suddenly in her North Hollywood home.

The medical staff thinks she had been dead for the day before her body was found.

The cause of her death is being looked into.

An interview with Soap Opera Digest a few weeks ago gave Esta a hint that she was going to start acting on daytime TV again.

Esta, who lived in both South Africa and the US, told the outlet, “It’s definitely something I would like to get back into.”

Before she was killed off in 2001, Esta played the troubled Hungarian princess Gillian Andrassy on All My Children.

Ten years later, she played Gillian’s ghost in the last few weeks of the soap opera’s run.

ABC said in April 2011 that the long-running show would no longer be airing after 41 years.

“It was very emotional for me and Cameron Mathison when I got back.” It made us both cry when we saw each other,” Esta said about Ryan Lavery, her co-star who played her love interest on screen.

“Back then, we hadn’t seen each other for years, so it was such a touching moment for us.”

After Gillian said she wanted to go back to her home country of South Africa, Esta made the decision to kill her on the show.

But after more than 20 years, Esta was ready to go back to soap operas and hoped to do so with Cameron, who is 54 years old.

Fans of All My Children paid their respects to the late star on social media after she died.

They put up an old picture of her and Cameron on set with the sweet message, “Rest in Peace, Esta TerBlanche.” Thanks for making us laugh with your beautiful and captivating performance. Princess, we will miss you.

In the comments, fans said how sad they were about Esta’s death.

“No way!” This is bad news. I’m sorry for Esta’s family, friends, and coworkers’ loss. I remember her as Gillian Andrassy on All My Children. “Rest in peace in heaven,” someone wrote.

“She and Cameron Mathison were incredible together, he’s never had chemistry with anyone else like her since,” someone said.

“This is really bad. My heart hurts for her family, friends, and everyone who knew or liked her. She was really great!” Added a third.

“What the heck! “Loved her as Gillian!” cried a fourth.

She was also famous for being the lead in the popular South African drama Egoli: Place of Gold and for being Miss Teen South Africa.
