With heavy hearts, we announce the passing

SHELLEY Duvall was an accomplished actress who won many awards during her time in the public eye.

The sad news is that the Hollywood star died at age 75.

What did Shelley Duvall do?
Shelly Duvall was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on July 7, 1949.

The actress went to South Texas Junior College with the goal of becoming a research scientist, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She was also interested in food.

Moving to Hollywood, California, in the middle of the 1990s was the start of her successful acting career.

The news source says she also ran her own production company called Think Entertainment, which made “star-studded, innovative children’s programming for cable television.” She was nominated for two Emmy Awards by the company.

Duvall won a lot of awards, like the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1977 for “3 Women” and the LAFCA Award for Best Actress in 1977.

She also won a Peabody Award in 1984 for her work on the TV show Faerie Tale Theatre.

While Duvall was on the popular talk show Dr. Phil in November 2016, she talked about her mental illness. The show ended after 21 seasons.

This is what the 67-year-old said to Dr. Phil McGraw: “I am very sick.” Help me please.”

Vivian Kubrick, the daughter of the late director of The Shining, Stanley Kubrick, spoke out against the longtime host.

Vivian told Dr. Phil on X, which was called Twitter at the time, “You are putting Shelley Duvall “on show” while she is in a pitiable state of illness.”

“There’s no doubt that this is just a form of lurid and exploitative entertainment; it’s horribly cruel.”

“Shelley Duvall rose to fame in movies…” You are taking away any dignity that this poor creature might have in this world by showing her in this way.

“I feel completely disgusted. I hope other people will join me in not watching your heartless form of entertainment. It has nothing to do with healing with compassion.

What killed her?
Duvall died because of problems with his diabetes.

Dan Gilroy, who was her partner, told The Hollywood Reporter the sad news. He also said that the actress died in her sleep at her home in Blanco, Texas.

“My sweet, wonderful, dear life partner and friend left us. Too much pain lately, she’s free now. “Fly away, pretty Shelley,” he told her.

Which movies does Shelley Duvall star in the most?
Duvall had a successful acting career and was in many movies. Her most famous role was with Jack Nicholson in the horror/mystery hit The Shining, which came out in 1980.

Some of her other well-known movies are Popeye (1980), a family comedy with Robin Williams, Annie Hall (1977), 3 Women (1977), a thriller/mystery; and Nashville (1975), a musical/comedy.

The actress is also known for her parts in the movies Brewster McCloud (1970), McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971), Time Bandits (1981), and Forest Hills (2023).

Shelley Duvall: Was she married?
They were married from 1970 to 1974. Duvall was married to artist Bernard Sampson.

That’s what The Hollywood Reporter says; they got married while she was filming Brewster McCloud.

But they got a divorce four years later, not long after they moved to Los Angeles.

Duvall met Gilroy, the man she would marry, in 1989.
